Darryl
Buchanan: Darryl developed
his musical talents during his high school years in South Bend, Indiana. Darryl was discovered and recruited by Motown's
legendary sax man Jr. Walker. Darryl's involvement with Jr. Walker included touring the United States, Canada and Europe.
While touring, Darryl became Jr. Walker's opening act. His musical talents and stage persona has earned him popularity
with diverse crowds worldwide. Darryl toured with Jr. Walker until his untimely death in 1995. Their last performance was
at New York's famed Apollo Theatre. Darryl has performed on numerous TV shows including NBC's Saturday Night
Live and Good Morning America. He also toured Europe with famed James Brown band leader, trombonist Fred Wesley.
In 1993 he was invited to President Bill Clinton's Inaugural Ball to perform with JR. Walker and is currently still doing
some tours with the legends of Motown. He has performed with many legendary R&B artists. Darryl's first recording
project was released in Europe with Chicago legendary drummer and former Marvin Gaye “Sexual Healing” beat
master, Doni Hagen. They are currently working on recording projects and performing together. As a multi-talented musician, vocalist, song writer and producer,
Darryl's artistry continues to blossom. Recording and producing many R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz and gospel music
projects. He is the owner of Planet Love Music Publishing Co. BMI and released his nineth music CD album
in 2010 with Chicago writer, producer and former NFL player, Don Carlos. When not doing world tours, Darryl
performs in area casino’s and venues with his band "Darryl B. & REFLECTIONS", one
of the hottest Soul, R&B dance shows in the Midwest. With a spectacular stage show, Darryl’s dynamic performances
and vocal ability have captivated crowds for the past few years. His voice has been compared to Earth Wind & Fire's
Phillip Baily and Prince. On August 29, 2009 Darryl was awarded the certificate of recognition by the city of South Bend,
Mayor Stephen J Luecke for his accomplishments during his thirty years in music.
